Kraków-Balice, officially the John Paul II International Airport, lies about 11–15 km from the city centre, depending on whether you're heading to the Old Town, Kazimierz, or a hotel near Podgórze. In theory that's a quick 20–25 minute drive. In practice, anyone who has sat in traffic on Balicka Street or Konopnickiej during afternoon rush hour knows that a pre-booked transfer with a driver who knows the alternative routes through Bronowice or via the Third Ring Road can save real time, especially with a flight to catch or tired kids in the back seat.
As a Kraków-based carrier, we run airport transfers from Balice every day — for tourists landing for a weekend in the Old Town, business travellers heading to conference hotels, and wedding guests flying in from abroad who need to get straight to a venue in the Kraków area or further into Małopolska. Unlike a random taxi at the terminal, a booked transfer means the driver is waiting inside the arrivals hall with a name sign, tracking your flight in case of delays, and ready to load luggage without any haggling over the fare.
You give us the flight number, and we monitor it — if your plane lands early or late, the driver adjusts automatically, so you're not charged extra or left waiting outside. This matters a lot with budget airlines and their notoriously flexible schedules at Balice. For solo travellers or couples, an 8-seat van is more than enough and gives you space for bulky suitcases or ski equipment in winter. For larger groups — a wedding party arriving together, a company sending a delegation to a conference in Kraków, or a school trip landing before a few days of sightseeing in Małopolska — we bring a 20-seat van or, for bigger numbers, a coach for up to roughly 50 people.
Popular drop-off points include hotels around the Main Market Square, Kazimierz (a favourite base for guests visiting Schindler's Factory or the Jewish Quarter), Podgórze, and business hotels near Czyżyny or the Kraków Arena, which regularly host conferences and corporate events. We also handle transfers further out — to Zakopane, Wieliczka, or wedding venues scattered around the region, which is a route we drive constantly and know down to the shortcuts around Myślenice or the S7 towards Podhale.
Book at least a day in advance if possible, especially during the summer season or around major events like Wianki or the Christmas markets, when demand for transport in Kraków spikes and last-minute vans are harder to find. If you're arriving
